| Auto-focus is a key technology in image acquisition area. It has wide applications in digital imaging system, computer vision, and microscope equipment. However, the miniaturized and low-power embedded auto-focus microscope system with infrared-light source has not been applied in manned space flight.In this paper, we do the basic research of the application of embedded auto-focus microscope system with infrared-light source based on outer space. Introduce the study, design and implement of auto-focus system mostly in auto-focus algorithm, hardware platform, software implement and experiment. In algorithm, we choose the improved Laplacian in spatial domain with good high-speed, sensitive and stable feature according to the real-time character in embedded system. In hardware, we choose the popular DSP image processing platform to obtain image, process image and output image, and control the motor to achieve auto-focus function. In software, we use DSP/BIOS as the real-time OS to decrease the difficulty of development, increase the reliability and stability. Auto-focus evaluates function combines with MCS (Mountain Climb Servo) and implements them with C language. That will improve the speed and efficiency of algorithm and readability. The system can achieve auto-focus function with infrared-light source by three experiments.Finally, we make a summarization to this paper, indicating some disadvantage in the existing system and making a further expectation. |
