Steel-concrete composite beam has the advantages of both steel structure and concrete structure, and were used more and more widely in practice with time. In structural design, we often focus on the security and applicability, but ignore the durability. And this would lead to the structural failure before its service deadline, and make huge economic losses. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out the research on the steel-concrete composite beam attacked by sulfate, to study its deterioration rule and damage mechanism, so that to meet the requirements of social development, to ensure national economic development and reduce economic losses. This article accelerated the effect of sulfate corrosion on the specimens by putting them in a high concentration of sodium sulfate, and then carried out the preliminary study on their mechanical behavior. The main research content of this article is as follows:(1) The deterioration rule of the concrete attacked by sulfate was studied by experiment, and its degradation mechanism has been analyzed.(2) The push-out tests were carried out to study the behavior of the shear connectors attacked by sulfate. The mechanical characteristics of them, namely the anti-slip capability and the law of the ultimate bearing capacity, were investigated and were compared with the behavior of the control specimen which was not attacked by sulfate.(3) The experimental study on flexural performance of the steel-concrete composite beams attacked by sulfate was carried out. The mechanical characteristics of them, namely the anti-slip capabilities, the cross-section strains, the cross-section deflections and the ultimate bearing capacities, were investigated and were compared with the behavior of the control specimen which was not attacked by sulfate. And the results of the trial were verified through finite element analysis.(4) The experimental study on fatigue performance of the steel-concrete composite beams attacked by sulfate was carried out. The mechanical characteristics of them, namely the numbers of cycles to fail- -ure, the strains of the cross-sections, the relative slip values of the beam ends and the deflections of the cross-sections, were investigated and were compared with the behavior of the control specimen which was not attacked by sulfate.
