Permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) using space vector pulse width modulation(SVPWM) inverter control , is not only a combination of permanent magnet synchronous motor which has superior performance such as high energy density, high torque/current ratio, high power factor and so on, but also has many other advantages such as a flexible drive control method and a simple structure of the main circuit which is the result of an entire significant energy-saving effect and sports performance, So it is Widely used in industrial, commercial, aerospace, military and other fields. With the expansion of its applications, system security and reliability are increasingly payed attention seriously, especially in important occasions. Although the motor itself has a small possibility of failure, power electronic devices due to their vulnerability, inverter failures takes place frequently.The instability of the switching power devices after a long time running and the open circuit stator winding fault, limits the the use of the permanent magnet synchronous motor drive in the field of high-reliability applications.An innovative fault-remedial control strategies is proposed, based on inverter fault or a-phase stator winding circuit,which can offer a new fourth inverter pole based on three-phase three-bridge inverter, to connect the neutral point of the motor when the failure occurring, Then it can also form a circular rotating magnetic field and a stable torque output and as much as possible to reduce the hardware.On the base of fault-tolerant topology, theoretical analysis is andvanced. Then the Space Vector Modulation strategy is discussed.The principle of SVM is discussed in detail and the expressions of SVM strategy are deduced. The article works out the mathematical model of a neutral line of the permanent magnet synchronous motor.The simulation of system control and switch strategy validated consistency with theory analysis using MATLAB,which is in accord with the theory analysis. The performance optimization program is also proposed.
