The dissertation studied the basic meshing principle, the law of modified-type drive, the worm vice design, homogeneous of grinding allowance on such issues of double plane enveloping toroidal worm drive, mainly following the completion of the work.Firstly, the basic principle of the double plane enveloping toroidal worm drive was derived. Then the coordinate system of the double plane enveloping toroidal worm gearing according to the actual manufacturing process is proposed. The equations of meshing function, the limiting function, contact line equation, the induced normal curvature, the screw worm and worm gear tooth profile tooth surface equation were derived.Secondly, the plane enveloping worm structure of the tooth surface, derived its axis cross-section profile equation, formula of modified-type, drawn repair curve, analyzed the law of modified-type drive were studied. To lubricating properties, contacting of the distribution lines and hob-tooth roof thickness as a primary-type plane enveloping worm transmission of the performance indicators, a more comprehensive manner to reflect the double plane enveloping toroidal worm pairs performance of the optimal model was established. And on this basis ,the preparation of a computer optimization of procedures can be more easily carrying out the double plane enveloping toroidal worm pairs of the design parameters.Finally, the manufacturing process of the plane enveloping toroidal worm was derived, and analysis the homogeneous of the worm gear surface grinding , choiced the comprehensive homogeneous method to solve the case, and the calculation and optimization processing of the grinding of the parameters prepared for the plane enveloping worm parameters ,and the method was used in the processing parameters of the development process of the double plane enveloping toroidal worm.
