With the accumulating wealth of people, destroy and loss caused by earthquake is growing faster than before, what shows that the single life-safe based performance index is not sufficient for people's demand. The seismic resistance design must be economic and credible enough to make sure that the function of the structure can be intact during earthquake. The IDA is introduced in the multi-ribbed slab wall structure and used to assess the seismic-resistance ability of the structure, also the limit states is defined on the IDA curve. The main research contents and achievements are summarized as follows:(1) The main concepts of the IDA is defined, the rules for choosing the IM and DM, tracing algorithm and the way of creating single IDA is mentioned, then the summarized IDA curve is created.(2) The finite element model of the multi-ribbed slab wall structure is created by SAP2000 program with NL-Link element and PMM hinge, the parameters for PIVOT hysteresis model is proposed. By comparing the analysis result and the experimental results, it shows enough accuracy.(3) Ten ground motion records are chosen to perform IDA, and 10 IDA curves is created. Then the summarized IDA curve is created and the limit states are defined on the curve. Base on the IDA results, the seismic collapse resistance ability of the structure is assessed by means of CMR.
