With the rapid development of high-rise building structures, shear wall is being used widely. Traditional RC shear wall is not conducive to seismic, because of the stiffness and poor ductility. Hybrid Coupled Walls (HCW)are a new and efficient anti-lateral force structure comprised of two reinforced concrete wall piers connected with steel coupling beams distributed over the height of the structure. This paper establishes the overall finite element model, using the finite element software ANSYS, and makes nonlinear analysis for seismic performance under the quasi-static. The results will provide theoretical reference for seismic design and speed up its engineering applications. The concrete contents covered are listed as follow:(1)The ANSYS finite element model of HCW is accomplished. Receiving the loading-displacement curve and the lateral move curve, completing the contrast with the result of the experiment and finishing the corresponding error analysis.(2)Exerting the monotonic loading on the top of the structure, the structure from the elastic into the plastic state until the structural damage, and carring out in-depth analysis about the crack development, stress evolution, stress, strain and so on. Finally, acquiring the failure mechanism of the HCW.(3)Emphasize analyzing the influence for the seismic performance of the HCW from the parameters including the axial compression ratio, reinforcement ratio, hole width and height of the structure and so on. Completing the analysis on the aspects of bearing capacity, ductility, the lateral move curves and according to analysis of results, putting forward some proposals for the antiseismic architecture design.(4)Establishing the finite element model of reinforced concrete shear walls and the shear walls with steel-concrete composite coupling beam. Then making comparisons in contrast to the HCW about the seismic performance. Mainly among the loading-displacement curve, the lateral move curve, crack, degrating stiffness of the three types shear walls. Through the comparation, coming to the superiority of the HCW on seismic performance comparison.
