The influence of rainfall on the earth-rock aggregate slope stability is a problem that highway, railway, water conservancy and energy construction must consider and study. Now the considering fluid-solid coupling experimental and theoretical methods of earth-rock aggregate slope based on damage theory are not perfect. Particular damage- fluid-solid coupling mathematical model still urgently need a lot of research work. Therefore, this paper combines the National Natural Science Foundation of China (50878213), Ministry of Transportation Priority Projects (2003-318-802-01), Hunan Provincial Communications Department project (200506), for the influence of rainfall on earth-rock aggregate slope stability, carry out the following research work:1) By artificial rainfall simulation test, discussed the instability mechanism of earth-rock aggregate slope in the case of rainfall infiltration2) By introducing the damage theory, make the study of the breakage process of soil micro-structure and the process of slope failure is more realistic. Based on previous research, discuss the damage function applied to earth-rock aggregate, and derive the Mohr-Coulomb model based on damage theory.3) Base on the previous proposed fluid-solid coupling model, propose the dynamic computing model of damage functionωand permeability coefficient K considering fluid-solid coupling based on damage theory for earth-rock aggregate slope. In the case of rainfall infiltration, discuss the coupling mechanism of earth-rock aggregate slope seepage field and stress field. And by introducing the damage theory analysis the impact of stress field on the permeability coefficient and the impact of seepage volume force caused by seepage field on stress field. Based on damage ratioωdiscuss fluid-solid coupling model applied to earth-rock aggregate.4) Based on different damage ratio numerical simulation is carried out to the earth-rock aggregate slope with FLAC3D. Analysis the impact of damage ratio and rainfall time on stress field, displacement field and seepage field of earth-rock aggregate slope, and summarized the impact law of rainfall infiltration on earth-rock aggregate slope stability.
