Owing to consistent bridge span forms, similar sections and unified structures, simply supported girder bridges have been widely applied in the high speed railway. With the significant improvement of train speed, the vibration response of vehicle-bridge increases too. Therefore, the analysis of vibration of vehicle-bridge in the high speed railway bridge design is necessary to ensure the train safety and comfort passengers when trains go through bridges. Based on 12 typical multi-span simply supported girder bridges with high piers in Nanjing-Hangzhou and Shijiazhuang-Wuhan Passenger transport express railway and so on, the coupled vibration of vehicle-bridge of the multi-span simply supported girder bridges with high piers in high speed railway (theoretical speed 350km/h) are analyzed in this paper. The major work and conclusions of the full-text are as follows:1. Space finite element models of the 12 multi-span simply supported girder bridges with high piers are established and the self-vibration of bridge are calculated as well as analyzed. The results show that the eigen-frequencies of the bridges meet the regulatory requirements, and the bridges have good stiffness.2. The responses of vehicle-bridge vibration of the 12 bridges are calculated when the high-speed train(including the German ICE3, the French TGV and the domestic C300) goes through a single or two-lane bridge by the speeds of 250-420 km/h. The results show the indicators of the calculation are within the limits.3. The theoretical resonant speed (the peak speed of bridge response)of the 12 bridges are calculated when the high-speed train(including the German ICE3, the French TGV and the domestic C300) goes through bridges. It agrees to the results of the calculation of space vibration response of vehicle-bridge.4. According to comprehensive analysis and comparison of many national standards on lateral stiffness of bridge piers, as well as the results of response of vehicle-bridge spatial vibration of the 12 multi-span simply supported girder bridges with high piers, it is demonstrated in this thesis that lateral rigidity limit of pier top should be relaxed when there is a increase in height of pier.
