| With the development of the traffic in recent years,asphalt pavement has been improved in the design theory and construction technology. However, as the results of defections of the design theory of asphalt pavement construction and the inconsequence of actually construction methods, the problems of premature failure and shorter service life of asphalt pavement appear frequently. Based on the practical fact of our country and utilize the overseas design experience, there is great theoretical and practical significance in studying long-life asphalt pavement. Considering mechanical design method and functional requirements of pavement surface,And the mechanical properties of long-life asphalt pavement with composite basement were analyzed utilizing the finite element software of BISAR.The chief research contents and achievements are summarized as follows:1. Based on the adjustment of composite pavement structure with rigid and flexible property, the structure characteristic and behavior in service of asphalt pavement at home and abroad were all analyzed. The existing problems of asphalt pavement in our country and advantages of long-life asphalt pavement and its design theory were deeply discussed.2. According to the requirements of long-life pavement, works of pavement structural design and structural strength calculation was completed in this article with specific projects, and the design standard of the composite long-life asphalt pavement was raised in the paper.3. The road load calculating model was built in this paper, and the influence of the thickness of asphalt pavement layer on the subsidence of the pavement, the tensile stress at the bottom of semi-rigid substratum, the stretching strain at the bottom of the bituminous layer, the maximum shearing strain of the surface and the compression strain at the top of the soil layer was also discussed in the article.4. By mechanical calculation and analysis of the structure of five kinds of composite based long-life asphalt pavement, the corresponding mechanical characteristics were obtained. Moreover, two kinds of composite based long-life asphalt pavement suited in our country were also recommended, which could be references for the design and investigation of long-life asphalt pavement. |
