In this research, AE events in the failure process of rock specimens from different level in Hongtoushan Copper Mine were acquired by AE monitoring instrument. Applying Kaiser effect theory, the regulation of in-situ stress in the Hongtoushan Copper Mine was studied and the rockburst proneness of the deep rockmass was analyzed. Some significant conclusions were achieved.(1) The phenomenon of Kaiser effect was apparent in the process of the destruction of high-intensity brittle rock, but it was not obvious in the the low-intensity and non-brittle rock.(2) Kaiser effect was more obvious in the rock elastic deformation stage and the points of Kaiser effect were among in the 45~50% of the peak loading.(3) The in-situ stress based on the mehod of Kaiser effect shown that:the vertical in-situ stress was linear relationship with the depth and was unrelated with the self-weight stress. The equation of linear regression of vertical stress wasσ=-27.7+0.08H.(4) Compared with the actual measurement and Kaiser effect stress, the stress of AE method was less than the actual in-stiu stress. This was due to the uniaxial compression test can not restore the original stress environment and this kind of difference was more serious with the depth.(5) The rockburst tendency of different depth and rock type were analyzed by the result of test. The results shown that rockburst proneness was more serious below the level of-647.
