In Gansu arid climate conditions, Pigment red pepper to the United States as experimental materials studied the effect of irrigation quota (170,195,220,245,270,295 m3/mu)and irrigation frequency(once a week and once two weeks)under mulched Drip on pepper growth, chlorophyll fluorescence and other physiological indexes. The main results showed as follow:1.220m3/mu treatment plant height, stem diameter, shoot dry weight, yield per mu, yield per plant were better than other treatments; The Fv/Fm, Fv/Fo,ΦPSⅡ, qP value of Chlorophyll a fluorescence parameters in pepper leaves diurnal variation were higher than other treatments, showed higher photosynthetic capacity. In Gansu arid climate conditions, 220 m3/mu is appropriate for the production of pigment Pepper.2. Under 220m3/mu irrigation quota, once a week irrigation had higher plant height, stem diameter, yield per mu, yield per plant,ΦPSⅡand qP than once two weeks. In whole growth period once a week's MDA content was significantly lower than two weeks time's,and before the flowering period and fruit harvested, once a week irrigation's Pro were significantly less than two weeks time's. Under drip irrigation, once a week was suitable irrigation frequency in the region for pigment production.3. Under once a week irrigation, MDA content of 245,270,295 m3/mu irrigation quota was higher than 220 m3/mu of, indicating plants exposed to high water stress.170,195 m3/ mu of proline, soluble sugar was higher than 220 m3/mu, and before the harvest SOD and the results flourishing Period POD activity was significantly lower than 220 m3/mu, showing the physiological effects of drought stress.4. Under once two weeks irrigation,170,195 m3/mu treated MDA, proline, soluble sugar and soluble protein content were whole higher than 220 m3/mu treatment, while the SOD activity in the period of flowering fruit and the POD activity of pre-harvest senescence were lower, demonstrated the physiological effects of drought stress.5. within 10-30cm, the soil water content of once a week irrigation was always greater than once two weeks irrigation, while 50cm department of soil moisture content was contrast, showed that high-frequency irrigation could reduce the deep soil water leakage, was more suitable for Pigment pepper production.
