The ripe and dry fruits of S. sphenanthera called nan-wu-wei-zi. As for further development medicinal value of S. sphenanthera., it is the demand of market increases year by year. This behavior has resulted that the fruits of S. sphenanthera. were excessive picked and even large looted at green fruit stages. In this case, severe damage has been caused to wild sources of S. sphenanthera..In order that wild resources of S. sphenanthera. were sustainable utilization, is necessary to enlarge the resource extent of S. sphenanthera. by wildlife tending and artificial propagation. Seed propagation is the main system to the population regeneration of S. sphenanthera.. seed dormancy can directly affect the S. sphenanthera. population regeneration. In addition, artificial supplementary transplanting by seed seedling is the main means of wildlife tending. However, the long dormant period and low seed germination rate of S. sphenanthera. seed foemed an obstacle to seed seedling of S. sphenanthera.. Thus, the seed dormancy regular research of S. sphenanthera. is one of the important contents of wild tending.In this paper, we have taken the S. sphenanthera wild growing in the Zhashui county in Shaanxi province as the research object, the main physiological and biochemical indexes during different seed dormancy stages were studied. The main conclusions are as follows:1. Both of absolute water content and relative water content slowly decreased stability in the development of S. sphenanthera. seed. On the 169 d of sand hidden, the absolute water content and relative water content were 41.3% and 26.2%. In the dormancy process of S. sphenanthera. seed, water content slightly decreased to process shorten or break dormancy, it provides beneficial material foundation for seed germination and growth.2. In the seed dormancy soluble sugar content presented the first of drop downward trend rise again, the minimum value of soluble sugar content is on the 169 d of sand hidden. Soluble protein content has been reduced in the seed dormancy. After the 43 d of sand hidden, soluble protein content increases the decreasing trend and the minimum value of soluble protein content is on the 169 d of sand hidden.3. In the seed dormancy stages, Superoxide dismutase (SOD), Peroxidase (POD), Catalase (CAT)and Malondialdehyde (MDA) presented regularity changes, SOD, POD and CAT presented the trend of increase and then the trend of decrease. Separately on the 113 d,85 d,127 d of sand hidden activity is the highest, then activity decreased gradually. MDA presented the trend of increase and then decreasing. The maximum value of MDA content is on the 43 d of sand hidden and then decreased gradually until so far the maximum value of MDA content on the 169 d of sand hidden.4. In the mid of dormancy of S. sphenanthera. seed(in the 43 d~85 d of sand hidden), Gibberellic acid (GA3)content presented the trend of decrease and then increasing, Abscisic acid (ABA) content tends to decline overall, Zeatin riboside (ZR) content appeared bigger growth. |
