By Combining parallel Watershed method and single watershed method and employing small stream-Watershed technique .this paper deals with the impacts of forest cutting, tillage and afforestation on hydrological processes in a subtropical region and the following conclusions are reached : 1) forest cutting can increase net precipitation , soil evaporation . the kinetic energy of precipitation hitting on land surface and subsequently , the probability of soil erosion ; 2) Clear cutting can reduce the evapotranspiration and the depletion of soil water of a watershed ecosystem .While partial cutting has the opposite effect and furthermore . reduces the runoff output of a system, 3) tillage and afforestation can increase the water storage capacity of a watershed ecosystem (mainly that of the soil) and reduce surface runoff and consequently , soil erosion ;... |
