Ammonium sulfate, ammonium dihydrogen phosphate, urea sulfate and urea phosphate can be used as common fertilizers. Urea sulfate and urea phosphate are synthesize by urea with sulfuric acid and phosphatic acid. These fertilizers used as passive additives for ammonium nitrate are investigated in this paper. It is shown from co-crystal experiment of ammonium nitrate, ammonium sulfate and ammonium dihydrogen phosphate that compound salt with increscent density can be get by co-crystal and ammonium nitrate content is varied with crystal conditions. It is known by moisture absorption experiment that urea sulfate makes the hygroscopy of ammonium nitrate enhanced, while urea phosphate reduces the ammonium nitrate hygroscopy. The agglomerative property of ammonium nitrate with urea sulfate or urea phosphate is not as evident as the ammonium nitrate's with urea. Through DSC and anti-explode experiment, these additives are applied to ammonium nitrate for seeing about the modified effect, and it is found that the compound salt makes for improving thermal stability of ammonium nitrate and depressing the explosivility ,especially the compound additive of ammonium sulfate and ammonium dihydrogen phosphate has the best action; compared with the compound additive ,urea sulfate and urea phosphate have an inferior effect on thermal statility but they are propitious to eliminate the sensitivity of explosion.
