Jujube Wood Character Variation And Excellent Strains In Northern Shaanxi Breeding Research

Comparing the biological characters, disease resistance, the sugar content, the acid content and so on among the 29 clones of Zhongyang Muzao, we discuss the charactor variation of Muzao, then collect the fine clone which is prolificacy, better resistance and high sugar and acid content. The results are as follows:(1)There are larger variation from each clone of Zhongyang Muzao. The extent of branch, leaf, fruit and kernel variation is different according to the feature. Compared with the largest variation of the four charactor index, it is appeared that the extent of branch variation is the largest one(the is25.09%), the second is leaf, its coefficient of variation on width is 14.44%, the third is the fruit as its coefficient of variation on horizontal diameter is13.03%, the last one is kernel, its coefficient of variation on vertical diameter is 11.28%.As the level steps up , the variation on every branch level (main branch,)of Muzao is upraise. And the main branch is the first, the secondary branch come to the second, the last one is deciduous supers.(2)The coefficient of variation on leaf index, fruit shape index and kernel index are smaller than the coefficient of variation on the vertical diameter and horizontal diameter.As a result, it is ensure that the leaf, fruit and kernel are stable.On the coefficient of variation, the width of leaf is larger than the length, the horizontal diameter of fruit is larger than its vertical diameter, the vertical diameter of kernel is larger than its horizontal diameter. Based on this ,the diversity of Zhongyang Muzao is ,the types of variation is risen up, and the range of cultivar collection is widen.(3)There are great differences among different clones of Muzao. 1clone is the most one on resistance to cracking. There are better 4clones on resistance to cracking , as the cracking rate is less than 20%, the cracking index is less than 10%.(4) There are differences among each clones of Muzao on resistant to Jujube Rust. There are 3 clones are good on resistant to Jujube Rust, as their incidence of leaves is less than 30%, the disease index is less than 20%.(5) There are great differences among each clones of Muzao on sugar content and acid content. The sugar content of most clones is between 40% and 50%. one is the clone which acid content is the most(1.57%). Another one is the clone which acid content is the least only 0.53%, the most one is triple than the least one.(6)The 29 clones of Muzao are divided to 4 types according to 19 indexes, such as sugar content, acid content and character index of branch, leaf and fruit. The first type contains 7 clones, The second type contains 9 clones,The third type contains 10 clones, The fourth type contains 3 clones,(7)The 2 excellent clones are collected from the 29 ones of Muzao.
