The silage of this experiment was prepared in the dairy cow breeding field of Xifeng County, and those physical and chemical parameters of the sample were measured and analyzed in the institution of animal nutrition in Guizhou University and other research center. Native maize of Guizhou was used as the material, and several production methods with different cutting length were tried for comparative analysis. At the same time, the fertility of the soil for native maize was investigated with the ratio of investment to production, and the optimized fertilization ratio was proposed. Besides, the producing factors important for the quality of concentrate supplementary feed of dairy cow were studied to find the Critical Control Point and the best control method. The results indicate that:1) The silage with smaller cutting length was better than that with bigger cutting length. Three groups of samples with cutting length 1.5 cm, 2 cm and 3 cm respectively were studied, and it was found that 1.5 cm cutting length was better than 2 cm and that 3 cm was the worst. The decrease of DM in 3 cm group was 0.17 percent higher than in 1.5 cm group and 0.19 percent higher than in 2 cm group. The WSC content of 3 cm group was 0.53 percent lower than 1.5 cm group and 0.32 percent lower than 2 cm group, and the EE was 0.08 percent and 0.12 percent. There was no significant difference at the content of NDF, ADF and NDL (p>0.05). The CA concent of 3 cm group had 0.28 percent higher than 1.5 cm group and 0.14 percent higher than 2 cm group.2) Kneading silage was better than cutting silage. Decrease of DM in kneading silage was 0.16 percent lower than in cutting silage (p<0.05). WSC content of kneading silage was 1.69 percent higher than cutting silage (p<0.05). No significant difference was found in EE, NDF, ADF, NDL (p>0.05). CP content of kneading silage had 0.30 percent higher cutting silage, increase of CA in kneading silage and in cutting silage.3) From the analysis of the content of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in silage maize, referring to the losing ratio of fertilizer, it was found that 1:0.27:0.80 was a reasonable ratio of N, P and K for whole strains maize production scale.4) Possible factors causing damage to concentrate supplementary feed of dairy cow were investigated, and important control points were set up among producing procedures, such as designing, material receiving, material reserving, impurity eliminating, crushing and mixing. A reasonable control method was suggested in this paper.
