The biology characteristic, ecology compatibility, resistance characteristic, the reproduction, method,cultivation technology and so on of Distichlis spicata was researched, the results as following:1st, the resistance on water logging of NyPa vegetation in width leaf and narrow leaf was researched. Theresults indicated that, under the condition of salt water irrigation, NyPa grass's high growth quantity in pot wasbigger than that of the comparison plant Festuca elata Keng. The irrigation of the water which had 0~30‰salt had not influence to the NyPa, but Festuca elata Keng died after irrigating the 20‰salt water. In the field,NyPa grew well under 5‰~6‰salt contents soils, but Festuca elata Keng couldn't; The NyPa grass couldsurvive the winter under -20℃low temperatures safely, Summer the NyPa grass can bear more than 10day-long flooding environment under the high temperature weather, the plant only became slightly yellow,afterwards it could grow rapidly; Under the Shoukwang test point climate and the infertile salt alkaloidsoilcondition, continuously 2 years did not apply fertilizer, it had not influence obviously to NyPe's growth.2nd, in the Shoukwang city of Shandong Province, the NyPa width leaf became green with the winterwheat simultaneously at February, it stopped growing in mid-December, the vegetal period had 10 months,plant maintenance green during dormant period. The NyPa narrow leaf variety started to become green at thebeginning of March and 1 stopped growing at late-November, the vegetal period reacheed 8 month. The NyPagrass reproduced through dividing plants not the seeds, had not primary stolons, this methods might preventinto the harmful weed infinite proliferation. After 2 years of planting Nypa, salt content of the soil reducedfrom 4‰~5‰to 1‰. On the salt content 4‰~6‰soils levels, output of the fresh grass weight amounted tothe313.045kg/hm~2, dry grass weight was 84.28kg/hm~2. In high salt alkaloid (salt content 5‰~6‰) the freshgrass output respectively was Festuca elata Keng and the river deercogon grass 190.97% and 154.04%, thehay output was 455.06% and 427.21% respectively.3rd, the leaves of NyPa width leaf variety was green for 10 months and the NyPa narrow leaf was nearly9 months; Their tiller survival percentage was 89.2-93.3% and 97.3-98.8% respectively, the coefficient ofreproduction was 6.7~31.8; In the salt alkaloidcontent 5‰, the summer waterlogging, under the comparisonplant Festuca elata Keng death soil condition the year growth highly respectively achieves 53.8~67cm; TheNyPa width leaf variety year hay output amounts to above 500kg.The two kind of grasses had the stronger adaption to resistance characteristic such as waterlogging, saltalkaloid and so on. They were the better ecological and economical grasses. NyPa width could be used to theturf and the feedingstuff because of the long period of green leaves. The NyPa narrow leaf variety were madeto be the lawngrass because of its soft leaves.Its similar plant was in our country succeeds for the first time introduces, filled our country's shortage ofthe halophyte, its synthesis resistance and the economical character surpassed the halophyte obviously, thisplants made the introduction of our country's work progress greatly. The research has found out this plant'sbotany characteristic and the ecological compatibility in the introduction place, has established the necessary cultivation technology measure, including the reproduction, transplants, the clay fertilizerwater management,disease-carrying insect preventing and controlling, the mow, the output, the product use and forest grassinterplanting cultivation and so on. The synthesis unification coordination of the salt tolerance, droughtresistance and waterlogging tolerance cause NyPa to make a first choice for the extremely precious foragegrass and the lawn concurrently with the good salt-resistant plants variety, also made to be the cutting edgeplant and plants of the coastal protective forests, those had the vital significance to the salt alkaloid arid areaanimal husbandry development and the ecological engineering construction.
