ObjectiveTo study the changes of malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide (SOD), C-reactiveprotein (CRP), interleukin-6(IL-6), tumornecrosis factor (TNF-a), albumin (ALB), prealbumin (PAB) and transferring(TF) levels in maintenance hemodialysis patients after taking Xuebijing injection, explore the effects of Xuebijing injection on oxidative stress and microinflammatory state and provide treatment base for improving survival rate and quality of life in MHD patients.MethodsTotally 76 patients in maintenance hemodialysis were randomly divided into two groups:36 in treatment groupⅡand 40 in treatment groupⅡ, and 18 healthy subjects were healthy group. The treatment groupⅠand treatment groupⅡwere treated symptomatically, in addition, treatment group II was administered Xuebijing injection for 12 weeks. Malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide(SOD),C reaction protein (CRP), cytokine interleukin 6 (IL-6), tumor necrosis factor-a(TNF-a), and albumin (A1B), prealbumin (PAB), transferrin (TF), hemoglobin (HGB) and phosphor, kalium and calcium were detected before study and after 12 weeks. All the data was analyzed by SPSS 13.0 software.ResultsCompared with healthy group, levels of malondialdehyde (MDA), C-reactive protein (CRP), interleukin-6(IL-6), tumornecrosis factor (TNF-α) were significantly higher(P<0.05) and levels of superoxide (SOD), albumin (AlB), prealbumin(PAB), transferrin (TF) were lower (P<0.05) in maintenance hemodialysis patients; Levels of malondialdehyde (MDA), C-reactiveprotein (CRP), interleukin-6 (IL-6), tumornecrosis factor (TNF-a) significantly decreased and SOD increased in treatment groupⅡafter 12 weeks in comparison with the baseline and those of treatment groupⅠ(P<0.05); Levels of albumin (AlB), prealbumin (PAB), transferrin (TF) significantly increased in treatment groupⅡafter 12 weeks in comparison with the baseline and those of treatment groupⅠafter study (P<0.05); During the observation, levels of the phosphor, kalium and calcium in two groups had no statistically difference (P> 0.05); Level of HGB was significantly increased in treatment group II after study in comparison with the baseline (P<0.05). In the whole observation process, no significant adverse reactions in patients, liver function, electrocardiogram were no significant changes.ConclusionXuebijing injection can alleviate oxidative stress and microinflammation state and improve nutrition state in maintenance hemodialysis patients. Furthermore, Xuebijing injection has fewer adverse reactions and a wide area of potential clinical applications.
