ObjectiveThrough to analyze first aid and personnel casualty of traffic accident happened in Tangshan Section of Beijing-Shenyang Superhighway,the aim is to investigate the characteristics of traffic injuries,applicability and superiority of sequencing for Emergency Medical Treatment (EMT).MethodsCross-sectional investigation ware carried out for accident injuries happened in Tangshan section of Beijing-Shenyang Superhighway from October 2003 to September 2005 and the case information of accident injuries in Tangshan section of Beijing-Shenyang Superhighway from October 2005 to September 2007.The research contents included demographic information of patients collected,regular pattern of accident injuries happening in time distribution,accident injuries about injured parts,numbers and extent (AIS-ISS evaluation).Compared with times of first aid and numbers of death before and after using the method of sequencing for Emergency Medical Treatment,also analyzed the effect of the times on ISS scale. All data were analized by spss13.0 package.ResultFrom October 2005 to September 2007,399 cases were injured in the accendents happened in Tangshan section of Beijing-Shenyang Superhighway.There were 40 cases of death on the spot,116 cases treated in out-patient clinic,234 cases of accident injuries admission for treatment,9 cases of death after admission,the averagely rescue time is 44 minutes. From October 2003 to September 2005,364 cases were injured in the accendents,there were 34 cases of death on the spot,25 cases of death after admission, the averagely rescue time is 135 minutes.1.A happened time of accident injuries had certainly rule,while the least number were 20 cases in February.The peak was 44.9%(179/399) during July to October.2.Frequency distribution of happened time of traffic accident within 24 hours were 1:00-6:00 a.m. (113cases), 7:00-12:00 a.m. (107 cases), 13:00-18:00 p.m. (98 cases),and 19:00-24:00 in the night (81 cases) differently.There were statistical differences significantly between numbers of casualties in different time(X~2=7.844,P<0.05).3.Among 234 patients of accident injuries admission for treatment,the ratio of man and woman was 5.5:1,the people aged 21 to 50 accounted for 85.9%(201/234) of the people in hospital.There was no statistical differences significantly with sex at each age(X~2=2.338,P>0.05).4.Constituent ratio of damaged parts for accident injuries were account for parenchyma 31.1%,head and neck 17.6%,thoracic part 15.9%,inferior extremity 9.6%,face 9.6%,abdominal region 5.5%,upper extremity 5.5%,and the pelvis 5.1% individually,in which extremities and pelvis had 20.2%.5.The features of injured degree were divided into groups of slight wound(ISS scale < 16)with 1-2 injured parts,moreover,in groups of serious(ISS scale =16-24) and very severe injury(ISS scale≥25)with 2-3 injured parts.Multiple injury was the main means of trauma,accounted for 58.5% of all the casualties.6.The times of aid might help to lower ISS scale,in the group of aid times≤1 hour,the result of ISS scale <16 (88.1%) and ISS scale≥16 (69.7%).In the group of aid times >1 hour,the result of ISS scale <16 (11.9%) and ISS scale≥16 (30.3%). 7.There were 40 cases of death on the spot and 9 cases of death after admission (from October 2005 to September 2007).While,there were 34 cases of death on the spot and 25 cases of death after admission (from October 2003 to September 2005).With chi square test,there were no statistical differences significantly between the mortality on the spot(X~2=0.102,P>0.05),but between their numbers of death after admission had statistical differences significantly(X~2=9.512,P<0.05). The averagely time of aid from 135 minutes (from October 2003 to September 2005) decreased to 44 minnutes (from October 2005 to September 2007).ConclusionA happened time of accident injuries had certainly rule in Tangshan section of Beijing-Shenyang superhighway.Most of injuries occurred in male youths and postadolescents.The features of traffic injuries happened in superhighway are multiple injury.Except for skin trauma,head and neck trauma was the highest occurrence in the proportion of injured parts.,thoracic trauma was the second place.The method of sequencing for Emergency Medical Treatment has a good of applicability and superiority.
