PDMS-based composite adhesive membrane for its high peel strength(9.61kN/m) is expected to become the dominant heat-resistant adhesive. This paper reviews the development of heat-resistant adhesive, focus on PDMS and its various kinds of modifier, studies the influence of different kinds of modifier on the property of the membrane,this membrane were prepared by both coating and CVD method, and PDMS-based composite adhesive coating were also studied.Aniline-bisphenol A benzoxazine and hydroxyethyl methacrylate(HEMA) were regarded as the best. PDMS-benzoxazine blend coated membrane were then prepared and its thermal properties were studied. the long-term use temperature(TL) of its cured product is high up to 350.71℃, the influence of different contents of PDMS and binary alcohol on the properties were discussed. the final mass percentages of each component were determined as follows: PDMS(60%), benzoxazine(20%), binary alcohol(15.5%), HEMA(3.5%), polyether defoamer(1%). The advantages of this membrane were studied as follows: it can be used as a firmly adhesive between many materials excspt copper, silver, gold and polycarbonate, and is widily applicable; the highest peel strength is up to 9.61 kN/m; it can be firmly bonded after placed at 100℃for 5 minutes, much lower zhen 140℃which had been reported resently. HEMA- acrylate was regarded as the best and PDMS-acrylate blend coated membrane was prepared, it is suitable for the place which was in high demands of flexibility. The PDMS-benzoxazine and PDMS-acrylate blend depositive membrane were prepared using CVD method, compared with coated membrane, the thickness had reduced, the uniformity of the membrane was better. Also the PDMS-acrylate blend depositive coatings was prepared.In this paper, a new PDMS-based composite adhesive was prepared and the highest peel strength is up to 9.61 kN/m, the service temperature is low to 100℃, its TL is above 350℃. This paper provides a novel approach to improve the properties of PDMS-based composite adhesive.
