| Objective: The linear parameters of the lower cervical pedicles were measured and compared by CT scan in the Uygur and Han people in XinJiang autonomous region, we want to provide some anatomic reference data for cervical pedicle screw fixation during operating in the lower cervical spine. Methods: The vertebral bodies and pedicles were scanned (60 cases of Han people,60 cases of Uygur people) from C3 to C7 with GE light speed 64 layers CT by every 1mm.The parameters were processed by multiplanar reformation(MPR) with GE Advantage Workstantion4.2 workstation. Measured every track of the pedicle of each vertebral body, and recorded the gender and age information . All the data above were processed by the software of SPSS17.0. Results: the height of cervical pedicles showed significant differences;Neglecting the diameter of the screw, there is significant difference in safety angular rang in transverse plane and sagittal plane during inserting screws (Ac1,Bu1) (P <0.05),and no significant difference among other linear parameters of the cervical pedicle. Conclusion: There are some differences among some tracks of the linear parameters of the cervical pedicles between the Uygur and Han people , but individual anatomic appearance of lower cervical pedicle indifferent nationalities, it is necessary to carry out CT,X-ray,other tests and measure the parameters before transpedicular screw fixation. |
