In the modern world, wireless communication is indispensable in our lives. From the development process of Wireless communication technique, we can learn that it is always trying to seek a way to provide higher speed of transmission and wider bandwidth, so consumers can use it to transmit audios or videos through the wireless network, or to enjoy some other applications. So, the performance of the wireless network, as we can say, is the driving force of the development of the Wireless communication technique. However, these are so many limilations in the test tools which were designed specially for testing wireless network system's performance.Such as unable to test all the key performance identities(KPI) at the same time, the test can not last for a long time, and unable to centralized control all the terminals. Therefor, how to test all the KPIs conveniently and reliably and stably becomes an important question demanding urgent solution.Base on the research of traditional performance testing of wireless networks system, this issue propose a solution about using terminals access to the wireless network, using UDP PING and UDP STREAM operations to get the key performance identities. This solution can easily get the KPIs such as delay, jitter, packet loss rate, throughput, session completion rates, terminals access succeed rates, and etc.Based on this solution, a test-tool software about how to get the KPIs of the WiMax wireless network system's performance has been developed, and the entire process of development has been recorded.Including needs analysis, rough design, detailed design, coding, system test and etc. This software based on C/S structure, using some kind of techniques such as Windows net work programming, multithreading, overlapped I/O model and etc. And this software has reached the expected goal.
