The Research & Implementation Of Ip Transformation About The Core Network In Jiangmen Mobile Communication

With the development of wireless communications, the voice service has been increasing by 20 percent every year. Circuit based speech transmission is dominated in existing wireless communication networks. After a long period of construction and operation, circuit based speech transmission gradually exposed the weakness of coping with the peak, the low utilization rate of resources and the high complexity of adjustment. With the development of IP technology, it has gradually become an irreversible trend that packet based speech transmission will replace circuit based one.In chapter 1 of the paper, the author analyses the development and importance of IP evolution in the core network, considering the situation of current domestic GSM networks, mostly focus on the transformation stages in the local network. In chapter 2, the author briefly introduces the functions, the structure, the main equipments, and the external interface of the core network, especially the present situation of Jiangmen local networks. Introduced with emphasis the the project design and the implementation process of IP transformation in Jiangmen mobile, including how IP transformation influences the network, the transformation goal, the transformation content, implementation plans, the signaling network plan, as well as the traffic network plan., The protocol involves in the transformation, the earnings of IP transformation. and 8 kinds of cases of site-failure protection mechanisms. In the last chapter, the author looks into the future work after completing the transformation of IP core network, which is the IP transformation of signaling transmission and Access Network. From the beginning of April 2009, Jiangmen mobile transformed the local MSC according to the program, completed all the transformation in June 2009, the transformation involved in six MSC, more than 200 million users. The problems encountered in the transformation process were overcome, after transform the network indicators keep well, achieved the desired effect.
