Multi-projects process management is a new development of Project process management. The theory of multi-project process management, origin from project management and process management theory, is the management model of correlated projects with the application of process management. Currently, there are few researches on the correlated process, just some on basically parallel process under simple conditions. This paper attempts to study the optimizing method of the parallel and master-slave correlated process, and formulates the system of the optimizing method on the correlated process. This article aims to study the optimization and management issues of multi- project correlated process. First, the paper analyzes the recently research and development of the multi-project process management and optimization. Secondly, this paper introduces definition and the characteristics of the multi-project process management, researches the existing method on multi-project management, analyzes and summarizes the existing process optimization methods and their limitations. Then, based on the theory and practice, this paper shows the two main types of multi-project correlated process: the multi-project parallel correlated process and the multi-project master-slave correlated process, formulates their logical structure and associated platform, and uses the CPM(critical path method) and GERT(Graphical Evaluation and Review Technique) to optimize them. Finally, this paper analyzes the systems of multi-project process management on the aspects of organization structure, quality management and associated management, and then formulates the organizational structure, the multi-project quality management system and collaborative platform of multi-project process management.
