This paper firstly reviews the basic condition of EU including old member countries and new countries, in the trade of agricultural product. At the same time, this paper summarized the trade of agricultural product between China and EU. Then it enters the current situation of eastern enlargement in EU and analyzes the impact of eastern enlargement on the trade of agricultural product between China and EU. This paper describes the positive and negative impacts of the eastern enlargement. In the discussion of the negative impacts, this paper paid more attention to the following two aspects, one is Trade Diverting Effect, that is the old member countries who imported agricultural product will divert their aims to their new member countries; the other one is that CAP (common agriculture policy), which has influenced Chinese export of agricultural product to EU before, but after eastern enlargement, this influence that will impede our export will extend to the new member countries. Of course, the eastern enlargement will give our agricultural export some opportunities. Through the analysis, we can get that the eastern enlargement will bring not only the opportunities but also some challenges. So at last, this paper gives some suggestions to develop the trade potential in agricultural export between China and EU.
