China's Regional Gdp And Energy Consumption Of The Relationship Between Empirical Research

The growth of economy has promoted our country's comprehensive national power, but at the same time some questions such as the energy bottleneck, environmental pressure and so on have appeared which are inevitably met during the economy development. The energy is the important safeguard factor for our economy development, and the sustainable development of economy in our country depends on the energy supplies and the expense. We should correctly recognize and deal with the relations between them which both in alleviating or resolving the energy bottleneck question and in maintaining the sustainable growth in economy has the obviously vital significance. The links between the economy growth and the energy expense have already aroused economist's interest. The domestic and foreign scholars have utilized different methods to conduct the different research regarding the relations of energy expense and the economy growth in different nations The research conclusions are different in different country, and even in the same country because of the different research technique they have obtained the different conclusions. In conducting these researches the overwhelming majority have utilized the sole time series data or the section data, which can only use restricted information and can not fully reflect relations among the studied variables. But this article used the panel data to study the causal relation between the economy growth and the energy consumption in our country, which synthesize the time series and the section data sequence and increase the useful information, and can better and more fully reflect the relations among the studied variables. While using the panel data in order to prevent appearing the false return, we first carry on the unit root examination to each variable. After obtaining that the variables have the same single-integration number; we later use the cointegration test to analyze the variables' long-term balanced relations; in the end we carry out the Granger cause-and-effects examination to obtain the causal relations among the studied variables. Our country is a developing nation, and in each district many economic factors such as the economic structure, the rich in resources and so on are different, so the development situation of the economy in each district is very different and the economic development displays the obviously regional characteristic. Therefore in this article when we study the causal relation on economy growth and the energy expends in our country, we separately use the board data to carry on the analysis in view of the eastern part, western part, and middle area in order to provide suitable policy suggestion for each district's economy development. From the conclusion we know that in eastern area between the GDP and the energy expense there is a unidirectional short-term causal relation from the energy consumption to the GDP; but as for a long term there does not have any causal relation between them. The eastern area faces the different development strategies between the long-term and the short-term. While in western area there is the bidirectional short-term causal relation between the energy expense and the GDP as well as the long-term unidirectional causal relation from GDP to energy expense, which show that in western area the GDP and the energy expense during the short term are the cause-and-effect relations, which have mutual influence between them. Regarding the long period that the GDP growth gives an impetus to the energy expense along the same direction, and the western area also faces the different development strategies during the long-term and during the short-term. The conclusion for the middle area is different from for the both of them, and the energy expense and the GDP do not have any causal relations no matter which is in short-term or in the long-term, so the economy development in the middle area appears the bigger flexibility. According to the conclusion, in the end of this article we separately give different suggestions for each area, and at the same time point out "Green GDP" will become our development subject in the future in order to realize the economy sustainable development and the society's comprehensive health development to achieve the comprehensively strategic target of the well-off society's construction, and construct our country into a comprehensive harmonious society...
