Study Based On The Innovation Performance Of Enterprise Intellectual Property Management

Since China entered the World Trade Organization, the cargo trade protectionism and administrative barrier reduced greatly. From a strategy point of view and relies on technical superiority and powerful intellectual property (IP), foreign multinationals had built many technical barriers with the core of IP to block domestic companies exploring internal market and overseas market. IP have become an important strategic tool of foreign multinationals, by which they compete for more internal and overseas market shares with Chinese corporations and limit Chinese corporations participating in the global competition. In order to cope with increasingly drastic global competition, domestic corporations are walking away from the technical development pattern of introduction and imitation innovation, and vitalize itself by independent innovation and sustainable development strategy. Innovation always goes along with IP. The process of technical innovation is also process of IP producing, IP utilizing, IP protecting and IP organizing. How to improve innovation performance and build an IP management framework which suit to their own development need is an urgent problem domestic corporations face.Under indefinite technical and market environment, IP hold a high-end in knowledge value chain. It had become the core resource of corporations with which corporations to obtain and keep their competitive advantages. The strategic resources theory and innovation theory provide an important theory platform for the correlational research between intellectual property rights and technological innovation. With an overview of studies on foreign and domestic documents and combined with correlational theory, author concluded some internal relations between IP management and technical innovation in term of innovation process, and proposed a conceptual model of the relationship between IP management system and innovation performance. On this base, this paper introduced the innovation performance evaluation system from the standpoint of IP. Firstly, the author built an innovation performance evaluation model by means of Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation (FCE). Then, analyzed the current IP situation of the corporations in cases and evaluated the innovation performance of them. Finally, on the bases of theoretical research, mode constructing and case-study, this paper proposed some strategies and suggestions for the IP management of domestic corporations, hoping to provide essential theory method and strategy support for the IP implementation of domestic corporations.Through the IP management study in terms of innovation performance, this paper built a mathematical expressions of the relationship between IP management system and innovation performance. The IP management status reflected from innovation performance can give some practical implement ways for corporations to improve its IP management by means of innovation performance evaluation. Corporations must launch IP producing, IP utilizing, IP protecting and IP organizing fully combined with its own development environment such as industrial background and development stage, only by this way, can they achieve the purpose of maximizing the value of their IP assets.
