Strategic Research Based On The Core Competencies Of The Hunan Electric Power Company

Hunan SanXiang Electricity Company (simplified as "SanXiang Electricity"in the follows) is a diversified company in electricity industry, after more than ten years' development, it has become a company of having a large scale and competitive ability. However, compared with the strongest company in electricity industry, there are still many differences and deficiencies. Meanwhile, according to the electricity industry's characters of strategy and high technology, one of the most urgent affairs at present is to cultivate, construct and improve core competence of SanXiang electricity. Accordingly, taking constructing core competence ofSanXiang electricity as breakthrough point, taking it's present development situation as background, using the experience of core competence theory, and unioning company inside and outside reality, the development strategy and strategy measure of SanXiang electricity is presented in this paper. The main work is focused on the following:Firstly, the connotation and frame of core competence is prensented, as well as the forming mechanism, the systematic strategy factors designing under complex system mode.Secondly, positive study is carried through the example of SanXiang Electricity, the macro environment, industry environment and inner invironment it is facing are analysed, which are also presented under the SWOT method.Thirdly, the systematic efficiency and comparative efficiency of SanXiang Electricity's core competence are analysed, as well as the coparative result. Forthly, According to constructing and improving SanXiang Electricity's core competence, its development strategy is put forward.The research point and innovation of this paper is summarised as follows:The chaotic characteristic of core competence is researched under the frame of complex system mode, the forming mechanism is presented, the methods of controlling core competence are pointed out, positive study is carried through the example of SanXiang Electricity under the theory of core competence.
