Changsha Urban And Rural Residents And Apparel Consumption Difference And Its Influencing Factors

This article revolves the clothes consumption difference between Changsha urban citizens and village residents and analyze the relative factors about the difference. The research collects the first hand data of above two districts through questionnaire and interview. Then analyzes the data through the SPSS software.Based on empirical survey, it is found that the clothes consumption between Changsha urban citizens and villagers is different, the result is as follows: Firstly, there is some difference of brand clothes consumption between the two districts. Urban citizens like to buy famous brand clothes more than the village residents and know more about brand clothes. Secondly, urban citizens adopt the fashionable clothes earlier than village residents, and they are more fashionable. Thirdly, urban citizens spend more money on clothes consumption, and they will choose higher quality and more clothes than the people live in the village. Forth, the shopping places for clothes have great difference between downtown and rural area. Through investigation, we find urban citizens tend to purchase clothes at higher grade shop than villagers.The dissertation analyzes the relative factors that influce the clothes consumption difference between Changsha urban citizens and village residents. It is proved that life mode difference, especially the habit difference, social interaction difference, and working mode difference, affect the clothes consumption greatly. This is an important factor for the clothes consumption difference between Changsha urban citizens and village residents. And another important factor is the economic capital and cultural capital difference between them.
