Facing to the keen competition of market, the enterprise should strengthen the management of procurement and inventory, while all activities focus on the profit making. In enterprise's management of the business and daily production's operation, the procurement management occupies an important place . In enterprise's business activity, the strict control of procurement's cost can increase the profit effectively. What's more, the good or bad management of procurement itself will influence the price, quality and timely delivery of raw material, which is directly related to the price, quality and timely delivery of the finish goods. By effective control of inventory, the enterprise can acquire more cash flow. And the key measurement to manage the inventory is decreasing the stock of raw material and reducing the cost of stock.As per such circumstance, this thesis focuses on the research of procurement management and inventory control as its core content, and takes Carrier Compressor Center (Shanghai) as the object of study. First, this paper expounds on topic's background, the relative literature review about procurement management and inventory control, and the research methodology. Secondly, by the analysis of current management of procurement and inventory of Compressor Center, this paper summarizes its defect. In light of my experience in the work of purchasing puts forward some measurement about the perfecting management of procurement and inventory based on these theories and production fact which obtained excellent effect in actual application. Finally, it summarizes the sense of this paper, the measurements to perfect the management, and points out the matter which need to be studied in future and some rough plans and suggestion to work out it.
