Foreign Direct Investment In Industrial Restructuring

With the sustained development of Beijing economy, industrial structure adjustment is very important for the macro-economic development. In open economy, the international flow and transfer of resources and essential factors may promote the industrial structure adjustment, while the utilization bf foreign direct investment as an important and effective means play an important role in Beijing industrial structure upgrade. In recent years, Beijing has been developing industrial economy based on the optimization of industrial structure. Though the data shows that Beijing industrial structure is improving, there are still some problems.This paper reviewed and summarized theories of the international direct investment and industrial structure adjustment, analyzed the development and function mechanism of Beijing's industrial structure and foreign direct investment.Through the empirical analysis concluded that foreign direct investment has a role in promoting Beijing industrial restructure and structural changes in the third industry will promote foreign direct investment. We should increase the foreign direct investment in third industry, especially modern service industry. In short,we should guide foreign direct investment according to the requirements of Beijing's industrial structure adjustment and the different effects of foreign direct investment in three industries, enhance the quality and effects of utilization of foreign direct investment.
