| Since China's establishment, our state's automobile industry has made remarkable achievements after the development history of more than 50 years in which our automobile industry experienced the process of starting from scratch, growing from small to large and from weak to strong. China became the world's largest automobile producer and consumer in 2009. Auto industry is the pillar industry of China's national economics, but it is an infant industry at the same time. How to develop China's automobile industry has always been the great concern to Chinese people. The government attaches great importance to China's automobile industry development and makes developing and revitalizing China's automobile industry as part of the Top Ten Industrial Revitalization Planning in 2009, in order to give force to change our economic structure and promote industrial upgrading.As an important part of developing our automobile industry, automobile export demonstrated its stronger power increasingly. Automobile export increased continually especially in recent years. Our automobile export exceeded 10 billion dollars and exports exceeded imports at the first time in 2005, which is a historic turning. Automobile export not only had its advantages which reflected the superiority when developing, but also exposed a lot of problems in recent years. The issue of China's automobile export has always been focused by all social sectors. Based on this, this article analyzes the current situation of Chinese automobile export competitiveness and sums up the shortages of our automobile export. Learning the experiences of other advanced countries, this article discusses ways to enhance the export competitiveness of China automobile industry.The first chapter of the article introduces the research background and importance, makes a brief comment on the status quo of relevance research, and then gives a brief introduction to the research methods of the article.The second chapter is the theory research about automotive export competitiveness, and introduces the traditional trade theory and new trade theory briefly. Based on the results of previous studies, it proposes measuring index system of export competitiveness, as a basis for quantitative analysis below.The third chapter uses historical data to analyze the status exports situation of auto industry, and difficulties that China's exports of auto industry faces in the background of financial crisis. The forth chapter is about quantitative analysis, it uses four indicators described above to do quantitative analysis about export competitiveness of China's auto industry. It gives a brief analysis of the results of evaluation. The last part of the chapter summarizes our main manifestations caused by lack of export competitiveness.The fifth chapter first makes research on export competitiveness advantages of Toyota and Chery, and introduces the successful export experiences. At last, this chapter discusses the methods to enhance export competitiveness of China's auto industry. This paper's view is that, we must focus attention to R&D investment and improve product quality, establish our own auto brands, produce different auto products to fit different kinds of target markets, in order to realize globalization and scale economics and to decrease producing costs. We must have our own long-term export strategies.The sixth chapter is the concluding part of the article. It briefly introduces the research limitations, and the following research proposals. |
