Based on 'survey data of temporary residents from country to city on 2002' by income distribution research group,this paper analyzes the job searching behavior of migrant workers. Migrant workers rely mainly on its own capacity to find work,but depending on the help of acquaintance is also an important way to find work.The time of most migrant workers spend to find work is no longer than 1 month.Social network play an important role in the process of searching for work by migrant workers. In the process of looking for first job,migrant workers rely mainly on genetic social network.Social network also play an important role in the process of getting work before going into the city.Job searching cost is componsed by the actual cost and opportunity cost.If the job searching cost is too high for migrant works to affort,they would stop searching for work and return to country.If the original work is low-income or unstable,migrant works would change his job.The confidence of migrant workers with job searching is polarizable.If the migrant works have many successful experience in job searching,they would have stronger confidence.If they don't have the experience of changing work,they would have weak confidence.The longer the migrant works stay in city for working,the greater the likelihood of changing work they have.However,if the time migrant works spend on first work is too long,the likelihood of changing work will drop.
