Common Coltsfoot Flower was belong to the Tussilago L. plants. Tussilago farfare L. Also called Winter Flowers, as the describetion in Compendium of Materia Medica. It has been used as anti-asthma,expectorant in clinical. A large number of studies have shown that the main compound types of Coltsfoot Flower were terpenes, flavonoids and alkaloids. The main clinical use antitussive, expectorant, asthma, the flavonoids and flavonol composition was efficacy substances.The active ingredient, Chlorogenic acid was a free radical, anti-mutagenic, anti-cancer and other useful biological activity compound with the human body, and closely related to human health. But as a major component of Coltsfoot Flower, Coltsfoot Flower extract performance lower activity in the free radical scavenging, anti-mutagenic, anti-cancer and other less active, nor in the clinical application.liver was the main place of biological transformation in human. It was an important organ in the drug metabolism,and cytochrome P450 enzyme is the main active substance. flavonoids significantly induction and inhibited on the the activity of CYP450 enzyme.Chlorogenic acid Coltsfoot Flower substances failed express its biological activity may be related to the rich in flavonoids affect the metabolism in the human body.In this paper, The ultracentrifugation approach was used to prepare liver microsome. The concentration of Chlorogenic acid in the incubation solution of rat liver microsomes was determined by reversed phase high-performance liquid chromatography. Detection of chlorogenic acid in rat microsomes metabolic rate, proved their impact factors.
