Cannulated Screw And Tension Band Wire Treatment Of Patellar Fracture Analysis Of Clinical Efficacy

Object To observe the curative effect of internal fixation of patellar fracture by cannulatedcompression screws combined with tension band wire.Methods From September 2006 to august 2008, 23 cases of patellar fracture treated withcannulated compression screws combined with circumferential loop and tension band wire wereenrolled at the second hospital of shanxi medical University.There were 12cases of transversefracture, 8 cases of comminuted fracture, and all cases were closed fracture.Result Totally 23 cases were followed-up. Follow-up period was 4 months to 12 months. TheFractures healed 8-10 weeks after operation. Xu Shao-ting, etc. used to develop the efficacycriteria, excellent in 17 cases, good in 5 cases, middle 1 case。Conclusion This study demonstrates that internal fixation with hollowed bolts and tension bandfor the treatment of patella fracture with excellent rate of 95.6% .which is an effective techniquefor transverse fracture and comminuted fracture of patella; and has a strong bio-mechanicsadvantage,allow early knee joint activities to promote fracture healing,prevention of kneestiffness, worthy to be popularized。...
