Abs tractPurpose To study the value of CT virtual bronchoscopy( VB) combined with bronchotracheal three-dimensional CT( 3D).Methods Thin -slice helical CT scan were underwent in 10 normal volunteers and 70 patients. Images were transferred to Alatoview workstation and reconstructed by dedicated software Navigate. 3DCT incloding multiple planar/curved planar/X-ray volume reconstruction ( MPR/C-PR/XVR ), minimum intensity projection ( MinIP ), maximum intensity projection( MaxIP ), surface shaded display( SSD ) were performed . Results The appearances of CT VB were similar to those of fiberoptic bronchoscopy ( FB ), Combined withMPR andMinlP, VB located lesion correctly. MPR/CPR/XVR depicted the inside or outside of bronchial lumen and relation of neighbours clearly, which help to overall estimate lesions. MaxIP could find the calcification in the lesions. SSD could display the surface shape and interior character of lesion, which help to characterzing lesions. The sensitivities of VB,VB+3D,FB for lesions detection were 67. 5%, 95. 0%, 87. 5% respectively. Conclusion CTVB combined with 3DCT could depict lesions directly, roundly and could be served as a supplement to FB and a direction to biopsy and surgical treatment . The techniqur is proved to be useful clinically.
