Medical three-dimensional(3 D) ultrasonic imaging reconstruction technique plays an important role in modern clinical application. Traditional two-dimensional(2D) ultrasonic imaging processed by 3D ultrasonic reconstruction system could display the 3D structure of the tissue in reality image and be widely applied to the disease diagnose, therapy planning and evaluation.A PC-based 3D ultrasonic imaging reconstruction system is researched in this paper. Pre-propcessing of 2D ultrasonic for eliminating or weakening noise and transform the form of 2D ultrasonic images are also be discussed. With an emphasis on edge detection we present new edge detector, radial line operator and weighted averaging nonlinear Laplacian operator for segmenting of the 2D ultrasonic abdominal image. For the first time, a theory and a new method of registration of 2D ultrasonic images have been proposed. It could fix the 2D ultrasonic image and confirm the position in space. All of the operators have been analyzed and satisfactory experiment result is obtained in a modest PC.
