| To investigate whether heat shock can regulate the expression of two hHSF4 alternative splicing isoforms , and whether the ratio of two isoforms can be changed upon heat shock , Heat shock two human tumor cell lines SK-N-SH& U251 , then RT-PCR was performed to detect the expression level of two splicing isoforms . Results In the two tumor cell lines derived from human brain , two alternative splicing isoforms of hHSF4 mRNA were not obviously altered by heat shock , the mRNA expression ratio of two isoforms also was not drastically changed in heat shock response. Conclusion Heat shock does not regulate the expression of hHSF4a and hHSF4b which have different transcriptional activity . |
