Objective:Observe the effect of FUCHUANG decoction to promote wound healing after radiofrequency-induced endometrial ablation and apply radioimmunoassay to measure the content of serum epidermal growth factor (EGF) and interleukin-1 (IL-1) before and after the treatment in order to probe into the functional mechanism of FUCHUANG decoction to promote wound healing.Methods:30 patients with radiofrequency-induced endometrial ablation were randomly divided into two groups, each in 15 cases. Each group was treated differently besides receiving the antibiotic treatment after operation. One group was Chinese medicine group, which received treatment of FUCHUANG decoction; the other was blank group without receiving any treatment to promote wound healing. Observed the amelioration of the clinical symptom.,the time needed by each group for complete restoration and the pathological slice of endometrium in two weeks after the operation, measure the content of EGF and IL-1 before and after the treatment.Results:1 .Amelioration of the clinical symptom: Chinese medicine group was ( 8. 20 ± 2. 426 ), while blank group was (11. 67 ±2.193), According to statistics analysis, there existedd extremely evident difference between Chinese medicine group and blank group (P<0.01).2. Time needed for complete restoration: Chinese medicine group needed ( 25. 53 ± 2. 264 ) days; and blank group needed ( 33. 20 ± 4.109 ) days. According to statistics analysis, there existed extremely evident difference between Chinese medicine group and blank group (P<0.01).3.Content of EGF after the treatment: all two groups had more serum EGF than they have before the operation. Obviously, Chinese medicine group had more EGF than that of the blank group. According to statistics analysis, there existed evident difference between Chinese medicine group and blank group (P<0.05).4. IL-1 quantity after the treatment: all two groups had more quantity of IL-1 than they had before the operation. Obviously, Chinese medicine group had more quantity of IL-1 than that of the blank group. According to statistics analysis, there existed evident difference between Chinese medicine group and blank group (P<0.01).5. the pathological slice of endometrium in two weeks after the operation: According to statistics analysis, there existed evident difference between Chinese medicine group and blank group (P<0.05), Wound of Chinese medicine group heal better than that of blank group.Conclusions:1. FUCHUANG decoction can ameliorate the clinical symptom after the radiofrequency-induced endometrial ablation2. FUCHUANG decoction can bring patients' restorative completely time forward after the ablation.3. According to the pathological slice, FUCHUANG decoction can promote wound healing after radiofrequency-induced endometrial ablation.4. FUCHUANG decoction can promote EGF release.5. FUCHUANG decoction can promote IL-1 release.
