Objective: To study the effect of Cryosurgery and TCM on terminal cancer forexploring a available treatment of terminal cancer. Methods: TCM and Cryosurgery.(1) Observe the magnitude the tumor, TCMsyndrome, and Chinese traditional medicine treatment determinationbased on syndrome differentiation before surgery.(2) Cryosurgery(3)Chinese traditional medicine treatment determination based onsyndrome differentiation after surgery. (4) Observe the change ofsyndrome and symptom to get the regulation, put eyes on the magnitudechange of the tumor and clinical curative effect. Results: (1)CT monitor during surgery: CT value about the focusderogation of 115 cancer focus on 103 patient were obviously decreased.24 tumors were covered by cryosurgery ice ball that 1cm bigger than thetumor, which could consider to be dispersed completely, account for20.9%. There are 72 focus of 85% ice covered tumor account for62.6%;12 cancer focus of 70% ice covered tumor account for 10.4%;7cancer focus of less than 60% ice covered due to excessive size or close toaorta. Total effective rate in 103 cases is 93.9%. (2)Curative effect evaluation :3months after cryosurgery about 49cases:CR:0;PR:3 cases;NC:24cases; (CR+PR+NC)account for 55.1%.PD:22cases,account for 44.9%. 6months after cryosurgery about24cases: CR:1case;PR:3 cases;NC:7cases; (CR+PR+NC) account for45.8%.PD:13cases,account for 54.2%.we can see slight proceed tendencycompare 3 month data with6 month data. ( 3 ) Karnofsky grade :74 follow-up cases 1 month aftercryosurgery:increased +stable:57 cases, account for 77%;71 follow-upcases 3 month after cryosurgery: :increased +stable:47 cases, accountfor66.2%;37 follow-up cases 6 month after cryosurgery: :increased+stable: 24 cases, account for 64.9%. (4)Quality of life:38 patients are good in 103 cases beforecryosurgery, account for 36.9%;the number is 43 in 74 follow-up cases1 month after cryosurgery, there are 36 cases with good Qol in 71 cases63month after cryosurgery, account for 66.2%, and 22 cases in 37 cases 6month after cryosurgery, account for59.5%;Acceptable rate of Qol isincreased compare with before cryosurgery. (5)The main TCM syndrome of Ⅲ,Ⅳ tumor is the compound ofexcess and deficiency syndrome. With the main manifestation ofdeficiency syndrome(Qi deficiency and Qi&Yin deficiency),phlegmsyndrome(phlegm-heat syndrome and phlegm-moist syndrome)andblood stasis syndrome. After the treatment combine TCM withcryosurgery the phlegm syndrome meet a quick and short-time change, manifesting phlegm-heat syndrome increased and phlegm-moistdecreased; deficiency syndrome ameliorated obviously and phlegmsyndrome to some extent grew better 2 weeks after cryosurgery. (6)Magnitude of cryo-cancer focus :58 cases are followed-up in 6month ,cancer focus of 3 cases are disappeared completely, account for5.2 % ; cancer focus of 35 cases were reduced, account for 60.3%,including 17 patients with more than 50% reduction .There are 9cases with stable cancer focus and 11 case enlarged (7)Survival time evaluation: there are 51 survived and 23 died in74 cases. The moderate survival time is 15 month. There are 45 patientssurvived more than 1 year ,and 28 patient survived more than 1 yearfrom took bad to treated by cryosurgery including 21 patients still live atpresent and 7 died with 2-7 month survival time after cryosurgery. (8)The treatments of were completed on 103 patients withoutsevere side effectsConclusion : (1)Cryotherapy is an effective method for advanced or senilecancers, especially for Ⅲ,Ⅳ cancer.(2)Cryotherapy is effective onremarkable dispersion, symptom easing without severe side effects.(3) Qideficiency phlegm-moist syndrome and blood stasis syndrome are themain TCM syndrome before and after cryosurgery .(4)TCM has theimportance of improving quality of life and extending survival time.(5)The association of cryosurgery and TCM is a method combine focaltreatments with systemic treatments which is worth delivering widely asa new project of Ⅲ,Ⅳ cancer treatment.
