Experimental Research Network Of Treating Lung Fibrosis Phlegm

Purpose and Methods: On the basis of systematic discussion of the "Luo Bing (collateral disease)" theory, analyzing the pathologic characteristics of pulmonary fibrosis (PF), we put forward the hypothesis about one of its pathogenesis "Tan and Yu blocking the Luo" , designed its experimental animal models, and treated them by using the modified "San Jia San", the famous formula febrile disease, then observed the curative effect. We dyed the pulmonary fibrosis tissue with HE and utilized computer to reflect the degree of PF objectively by image pattern analysis. We detected these targets in lung tissue, including TGF-β₁, which can aggravate pulmonary fibrosis, and MMPs-2, which is the major degradation enzyme of ECM, and TIMPs-2, which is the inhibitor factor of the former.Result: the modified "San Jia San" can improve the common circs of the PF experimental rat models, is effective in evidence to reduce the synthesis of ECM and to increase its degradation.Conclusion: the theory and practice of "Tan and Yu blocking the Luo" have actively effect on the prevention and cure of PF, and is worth strengthening research.
