Floating Needle Treatment Of Raynaud's Syndrome Fingertip Ulcer Pain

Object: To Investigate the treatment of Raynaud's syndrome(RS)succeeded Systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE) with finger tip ulcer and pain.Methods: Using both conventional therapy and Fu's Acupuncture to cure a case of RS succeeded SLE with finger tip ulcer and pain. Curative effective standard of ulcer and pain was established, according to the therapeutic standard of arteriosclerosis obliterans by All China Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine and painful words step gauge. The scores of ulcer and pain of the patient was counted with the standard before and after treated by conventional therapy and also to be counted before and after treated by both conventional and Fu's Acupuncture. The curative effect was evaluated by comparing the scores.Results: The scores of pain remained unchanged but the scores of ulcer increased and the patient's condition got worse after the treatment of conventional therapy. The scores of pain dropped and the scores of ulcer decreased gradually after combining both treatments, finally the pain disappeared and the ulcer healed.Conclusion: Fu's Acupuncture is effective in the treatment of this case. Fu's Acupuncture's immediate effect is concerned with defensive Qi. Sufficient defensive Qi will help ulcer healing. Fu's Acupuncture is safe, effective and convenient, which may become a conventional therapy of RS with finger tip ulcer and pain. The case suggests Fu's Acupuncture is effective in the treatment of angiosclerosis obliteration pain. TCM should attach importance to integrate herb and acupuncture. The herb or acupuncture or combination of them should be selected according to the patient's Zheng.
