Cough is a common symptom of respiratory system diseases.It can be caused by infection,physical and chemic factors or allergy.Among all these factors,infection in respiratory tract is the most familiar pathogeny.infection in respiratory tract includes flu and ordinary cold,etc.Its common symptoms are fever,pain,running at the nose,angina and cough.Fever and some other symptoms will disappear after therapy,while cough will last for a long time and is difficult to cure.There are several mechanisms of this symptom,such as extensive inflammation of respiratory tract,disruption of upper and/or lower airway epithelial integrity and airway hyperresponsiveness,etc。Plenty of clinical experience has been accumulated in the therapy of exogenous cough with Chinese medicine,which has many advantages. This study reviewed the diagnosis , treatment , cause and pathogenesis of exogenous cough according to the basic theories of traditional Chinese medicine,and looked back literature of the western medicine about postinfectious cough,it also summarized the mensuration of respiratory tract responsiveness and the technology of inducing sputum.This study concentrates on and investigates the postinfectious cough based on former work in this area.The first,we analyzed 103 cases about epidemiology and syndrome of Chinese medicine.By summarized information of epidemiology,we find that there are most of youth and middle age suffered from this disease,most of in spring and winter,the cough appeared early and last out a long time,have a bad influence in people's work and life,the instance of wrong diagnose and treatment is very familiar in clinic,especially abuse of antibiotics should be regarded.By summarized syndrome of Chinese medicine,we conclude that it is included in exopathic disease.The cause of the cough is nearly the wind.Clinical manifestation also showed the relation between the disease and wind.The mechanism of the disease is wind-cold pathogen tightening the lung and the following impairment of purifying and descending function of the lung.The second,we analyzed 60 cases.We grouped the patients and observed the curative effect of the way using eliminating wind and...
