Participation Black Capsules To Treat Senile Dementia, Spleen And Kidney Deficiency And Chief Phlegm Stasis Syndrome Clinical Research

ObjectiveAlzheimer disease (AD) is a progressively degenerative disease mainf-ested by progressively reduced cognitive funcition. With the increasing of aged population in our country , the number of AD is increasing every year. Because of cognitive impairment, AD has brought heavy economical and spiritual burden to their families as well as the whole society. What' more, modern medicine still hasn't effected a radical cure to it. On base of etiology and mechanisms of Alzheimer disease, we used shenwu capsule to the treatment of Alzheimer disease to observe the therapeutic effects and security and compare with aniracetam capsule. Methods1.Clinical data: All the patients come from Hubei Hospital of TCM , from November ,2004 to March , 2005 , to averagely randomize fifty-six patients to treatment group and comparison group , treatment group have twenty-eight and comparison group have twenty-eight.2.The medical usage: The patients in treatment group take orally shenwu capsules 5 each time, t.i.d and comparison group take aniracetam capsules 2 each time, t.i.d .the period of treatment is six months .In the period ,others that will have an effect on the result are forbidden ,including drugs , fat food , acridity food, smoking and drinking.3.The therapeutic effects and the badness and the side-effect :For all the patients, clinical sypmtoms are observed before taking medicine ,the90th day ,the 180th day and we take scores on MMSE,ADAS-cog and TCM symptoms ,patients whose scores were significantly reduced are observed to the 270th day. Physical sign ,blood route ,urine route ,stool route ,liver kidney function, electrocardiogram are observed before and after the treatment of the 90th day and the 180th day.4.The Stat. method: after the treatment of nine months,we analyze the data ,the count materials are examined with x~2,the measuring materials are examined with t-test and the grade materials with Ridit. Result1 .The therapeutic efficiency of ADAS-cog :after the treatment of the 90th day, significant effective rates of ADAS-cog are 39.3% and 21.4% in treatment group and contrast group respectively.There is no significiant difference between the two groups.But the treated group's total effective rate 67.9%,with stat. analysis is better...
