Inula Britannica L. distributes in China, Korea ,Japan and other region of world. Inula Britannica L. is a traditional Chinese medicine , which has been used clinically as a remedy for nausea, hiccup and excessive sputum. It is reported that the main compounds in Inula Britannica L. are flavonoids, sesquiterpene lactones and terpenoids. The extract has been reported to have many bioactivities, such as anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor . The preliminary pharmacological study showed the petroleum fraction and chloroform fraction of 95% ethanol extract has anti-tumor activity. The ethanol extractive of Inula Britannica L. was distributed in petroleum, chloroform, ethyl acetate and n-butanol, anti-tumor experiment was performed on the four parts by eight tumor cell lines:SK,ASPC,BG,HGC27,PANC,H466,Colon and Eca-109. The parts of petroleum and chloroform have inhibitory activity to the tumor cell in 72 hours. Objective : Individual components of petroleum fraction was isolated by various chromatogrophic techniques. Bioactive constituents were expected to be obtained from Inula Britannica...
