Objective To observe the change of the ethology, nerve ganglion, and the tissue close to it in dogs after the lumbar ganglion sympatheticum affected by High Intensity Focused Ultrasound(HIFU) of different dose, and to offer the experimental base to treat the chronic pain with HIFU.Method After the left lumbar ganglion sympatheticum labelling on dogs, HIFU with different dose(intensity×time) was given to it from out-of-body. We observed the change of the ethology, nerve ganglion, and the tissue close to it 7 days before and after the disposal.Result In the groups of the dose 708w/cm~2×400s and 1415 w/cm~2×350s, there was no significant change on all the indexes after the disposal. In the 2123w/cm~2×300s group, the ethology changed with no significance, but the nerve ganglion was destroyed thoroughly, and the blood flow rate increased significantly(p<0.05),at the same time, the genitofemoral nerve was injuryed fairly serious, observed with microscope, cell necrosis signs could be seen easily, although the outline of the cell still existed, the...
