Raspberry Fruit Chemical Composition And The Pharmacological Effects Of Kidney Yang Deficiency Mice

Rubus chingii Hu is one of traditional Chinese medicines in common use with its fruits. It is a member of Rubus L. Abundant in natural resources, this species has wide distribution in China.In this dissertation, studies on chemical constituents of the fruits of Rubus chingii Hu. are presented firstly. 19 compounds were isolated and purified by various chromatographic methods, such as silica gel column chromatography, RP-C₁₈ column chromatography , MCI-Gel CHP-20 column chromatography, sephadex LH-20 column chromatography, preparative thin layer chromatography(PTLC) and preparative HPLC and so on. According to the physiochemical properties, spectral data and the comparision with the literature data, the structure of 16 compounds were identified. They are elucidated as following: esculetin (H-1), esculin ( H-2 ) , imperatorin ( H-3 ) , β-sitosterol ( H-4 ) , kaempferol ( H-5 ) , kaempferol-7-O-α-L-rhamnoside (H-6), hyperoside (H-7), 2" -O-galloyl-hyperin (H-8), tiliroside(H-9), p-hydroxybenzonicacid(H-10), Vanillic acid (H-11), salicylic acid (H-12), ferulic acid ( H-13 ), shikimic acid (H-14), daucosterol (H-15 ), α-D-glucose ( H-16 ). Among them, compounds 1,2, 8 were isolated from this genus for the first time.The 70% alcohol extracts improve the symptom of renal asthenia yang test of mouse. The results of the pharmacological experiments show that the alcohol extract of Rubus chingii Hu. may tonify kidney and strengthen yang.
