The design, synthesis and antibacterial activity of new oxazolidinone derivatives was studied in this paper.The action mechanism and the development tendency of antibacterial agents were introduced simply in the paper. Reported oxazolidinone derivatives were introduced in detail, including their research evolution and antibacterial mechanisms. The design and synthesis of new oxazolidinone derivatives and their antibacterial activities were investigated particularly.Based on the analysis of structure-activity relationship (SAR) of oxazolidinone derivatives, with Linezolid as the lead compound some modifications were made at the 5 position of oxazolidinone nucleus and 41 position of benzene ring preserving such structures as oxazolidinone nucleus, 3-(3-fluoro)phenyl. Sixteen new compounds which had not been reported in literatures were designed and synthesized and their chemical structures were confirmed by ~1H-NMR and MS. The antibacterial activity of objective compounds against Straphylococcus aureus and Straphylococcus epidermidis was determined by the method of diluting minim liquid.
