.4 December Infant Energy Intake And Weight Growth

【Objective】To investigate the energy intake, energy from milk and other foods in the infants aged 4 to 12m and analyze the factors related the energy intake.【Methods】132 infants aged 3-4m, who were brought for serial measurements in the Department of Primary Child Care, Children's Hospital of ChongQing University of Medical Science from November 2004 to March 2005. The infants were followed once a month in the first 6 months, and every one or two months in 6-12 months. All the infants were divided into 3 groups, such as group 1 (4-5months of age, 192 man-times), group 2 (6-8months of age, 163 man-times), group 3 (9-12months of age, 150 man-times). The weights and the recumbent lengths were measured during the visiting by two professional staffs. The physical growth was assessed with CDC2000 reference, infants whose Z scores changes weight for age (△WAZ) was < -0.67 during two visits were asked for quit research.
