Dry-eye is a series of discomfort feelings of eyes aroused by unsteady tear film and injury of eye surface, which is because of the abnormity of tear's quantity or quality. The search of epidemic and clinic proved the incidence of dry-eye is much higher than our imagines. As a survey in America, there is 14.6%among people ranged from 65-84 years old. Than means about 4.3 million people suffering from dry-eye. There have no deficit epidemic outcome of dry-eye in our country. But the incidence could be higher than than in America on the condition of our sanitation and circumstance. The chief complaint of dry-eye involves feelings of eye-driness, eyewinker, lucifugous, vision blurring or fluctuating and so on. Sever dry-eye could bring the evident drop of eye-sight so as to affect work and life, even lose sight. This study aims to seek valid therapy tracing after summing the evolvement of reach in pathogeny, mechanis, measure and treatment.Objective Evaluate the validity of treating aqueous tear deficiency (ATD) dry-eye with Runmuling grain.Methods Contra pose Runmuling group with Bromhexine group and Tears Natural II group. Observe the change of the cornea fluorescent pigmentation (FL),Break-up time of tears (BUT),Schirmer I test (SIt),after surface anesthesia Sit (Sit2),then make data processing to review the validity of Runmuling.Result It is proved that there is statistical difference between the before and after treatment with Runmuling in BUT,Sit,Sit2.But not in FL.Contraposing with Bromhexine and Tears Natural II ,Runmuling is better than those two drugs in improving the subjective syndromes.Conclusion Treating dye-eye with Runmuling grain is valid to not only objective but subjective symptoms.
